Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 in 1983. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Originating from Worthington Ohio she dropped out of high school and moved into Los Angeles with her mother following her divorce from her parents. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first part as Rachel's Room's main character the online video show Rachel's Room in 2001. After earning an Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role of Murder in Greenwich of a 15-year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to win. Grace Rutherford, a role she played in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was selected for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to concentrate on film after starring opposite Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005. She was on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 and Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of characters. Grace played the role of Shannon for two additional episodes of Lost as well as the show's finale. In 2013, Grace appears in Californianation, the 6th Season. The character she plays is Faith who's both the star-gazer and a the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. She belongs to the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the sister to Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens her career began on small roles with her father. She also appeared in Donnie Darko along with her brother. Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). The leading roles of Gyllenhaal in Secretary, the romantic comedy-drama erotico and Sherrybaby (a drama) received her nominations for Golden Globe Awards. After several commercially successful films in 2006 including World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). In 2009, she received a nomination for the award of Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a single mom as she appeared in Crazy Heart. Her subsequent roles include Nanny McPhee as well as in the Big Bang and Hysteria. Alongside her work as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she was also seen as a character in White House Down (2013) as well as Frank (2014). Her most recent roles were as the main character of the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). In 2021, Gyllenhaal made her writing and directing debut in the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded The Lost Daughter the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
